1. How to Order a Book

What is the shopping basket?
The shopping basket lists and remembers items you are considering buying until you exit the site.

How do I add a book to the shopping cart?
After you have clicked on a category or conducted a search and seen a book listed that you would like to buy, simply click on ADD TO SHOPPING BASKET button below it. This will add the book to the shopping cart. You will notice that a counter at the top right hand corner of the page shows you how many items you have listed in your shopping cart.

How do I view the shopping basket?
Simply click on the small shopping basket icon at the top right hand corner of the page to view your shopping cart.

Do I have to buy every book I put in the basket?
No. You can delete an item from the shopping basket any time before you complete payment.

2. Shopping Basket Problems

If you are experiencing problems with your shopping cart (such as adding books to the shopping cart, but the cart still is showing that it is empty), this may be due to:

1. Your browser is not configured to accept cookies. Click here for more information regarding cookies
2. You need to click refresh or reload on your browser to update your screen.

3. Payment Options

How do I make payment when I have decided what I want?
From the shopping cart, click on Proceed to Checkout this will take you to the Shipping Details page. Once you have created your account, click on to Proceed to Checkout and the Confirmation of Order and Payment Details page will appear. Once you have checked that we are sending the correct goods to the correct shipping address fill in your payment details and your transaction will be processed.

You will be able to view your transaction results immediately. When your transaction is successful a receipt will be automatically sent to you.

How do I pay by cheque?
If you would rather pay by cheque, click on the pay by check option when you are filling in your Shipping Details. A pop up box will appear with payment and address details. We will forward the goods to you as soon as we receive payment.

Can I lay-by a book from your online store?
No. Badger Books do not accept lay-by.

Are all the books listed on the site available for purchase?
Any book listed on our web site should be available for purchase. On a rare occasion we may not have the product you have ordered. In this case, you will be contacted and your money will be fully refunded.

Do you accept returns and exchanges?
We do not accept returns or exchanges.

4. How To Search For A Book

How do I use the Book Search?
You may search for a particular book by typing in the author name or title in the book search that appears in the top right hand corner of most pages.

The basic rules to follow for this search are as follows:

• You must enter a minimum of 3 characters into either or both, the author or title field.
• You cannot enter numbers into the author field.
• You can search by any word in the title or author e.g. you can enter the word 'hot' if you are searching for 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', or 'John' if you are searching for a book by John Rogers.
• The search is not case sensitive.
• You can enter as many spaces between words as you like; the search engine ignores these.

How do I use the Advanced Search?
You can refine your search further by using the Advanced Search. The Advanced Search can search by author, title, subject, price range, publisher and year of publication.

The basic confines for using this Advanced Search are the same as the Book Search except for the following:

• You must enter a minimum of 3 characters when you are searching by author, title, publisher and year of publication.

5. Postage and Delivery

We use standard Australia Post airmail to ship your goods overseas and around Australia. For international orders a customs declaration slip is included before shipping.
